Kwame A. Nkrumah is Chief Operating Officer and Managing Partner of The Grove at Lees Summit, with responsibility for operational and administrative matters, including overseeing investor relations, securing financial resources and executing strategy.
His success is the result of extraordinary dedication to a solid work ethic and commitment to advancement. His leadership experience grew from unheralded yet inspirational origins in Africa and evolved into a champion for global diversity-related initiatives.
He is an International Financier with extensive business and financial experience in Africa, Europe, and Asia and personal, lasting relationships with prominent African leaders and affluent, high net worth individuals and families. He led negotiations that aided a number of major European banks (including Barclays Bank’s Private Wealth Management Service) secure their most important clients in Africa. He has had management experience in International Banking at Barclays UK. He has successfully liaised for U.S. defense-related contractors to expand into Africa and funded various programs to aid the United Nations in maintaining peace in the region. He has also led the funding of numerous UN Programs and has been a special emissary to the UN, representing many Sub-Saharan African Countries and is a special advisor to the UN.
He continues to serve the UN Millennium Project, where he is involved in syndicating funds to invest in development, as part of the global plan for fighting poverty disease and environmental degradation in developing countries. He has financed numerous UNDP projects valued in billions of USD, which provide the infrastructure and services needed to develop alternative housing for millions of people. He is also currently charged with a special mission by the UN FAO and the UNDP to lead the funding of various meritorious projects valued at several billion USD, which will serve to strengthen the resilience of vulnerable communities. He is a graduate of the University of Florida, the ‘Executive Learning Program’ at Harvard Business School, the MBE & International Banking Programs at CEDEP (European Center for Executive Development) and the University of Oxford Advance Management Leadership Program.
